Next, applicants move to the application phase where they complete their prescribed application forms based on the type of organization. The forms request basic information such as the purpose of the organization, its approved business name, and the name and physical address of its initial registered agent.
Louisiana requires organizations to have at least three directors except for self-run businesses or those with less than three shareholders. These individuals steer the organization.
The final cost for filing fees are affected by two things. The basic fee starts at $60 for normal processing time of within three to five weeks. Processing time can be reduced to one to three working days if the express service is used. This will however require a higher fee. Finally, the final cost of the filing fees is pegged to the amount of shares distributed by the organization.
