Montana Filing Requirements
The state of Montana has set out clear guidelines to which companies must adhere in order to gain their articles of incorporation. To qualify, the company must have:
- A Name: Each organization must choose a unique name. It must be able to pass the state's name check test of existence. This name must have the words company, incorporated, corporation or limited affixed to it.
- An Agent: The Company must have an individual who makes representation on its behalf to the Secretary of State. This individual must be available at all times during regular working days and be prepared to answer questions about the company.
- Collate the number of shares distributed by the company and prepare a declaration if they exceed the minimum value of $1000.
Filing Process
The filing process requires applicants to complete the prescribed application for their type of organization.
