Franchising and small business

Small businesses use franchising for several reasons, the prominent one being lack of money to invest in a business. Other reasons include the need for financial assistance to buy equipment, employee management assistance, and money for marketing and advertisement. An advantage of franchising is that it enables a small business to grow without having to accrue additional debts.

The franchisor provides all the capital investment to the small business which enables the small business to focus on the success of its products without worrying about the finances. Relationships between small business and franchisors have resulted in the success of many small businesses. Franchising helps the business to grow with no conditional legal responsibility which greatly reduces legal risk for small businesses.
