Over the past decade there has been a common complaint among employees, that they have fallen ill as a result of being exposed to the various pollution hazards and unhygienic atmospheres in their workplace. On the other hand, others have blamed the colossal amounts of work loads, the long working hours, as the reason for leaving their jobs. Long hours spent in front of the computer can be very time consuming, where a lot of pressure is applied by the eyes. As a result, the individual becomes susceptible to frequent eye problems, which may include glaucoma, short sightedness and possibly the risk of a cataract, if he is not cautious minded. This means the immediate resignation of the individual whatsoever.
On the other hand, there is a growing concern for the prevalence of heart attacks among the working population. Moreover due to constant tension in the work place, employees are more prone to suffering from persistent migraines. This is another sickness which forces them to give up their jobs.
Due to the lack of proper ventilation systems in the office, employees may become the victims of breathing problems like bronchitis, asthma. Body joint problems like arthritis and osteoporosis are another common diseases faced by the working people. This could probably be due to constant typing on the keyboard, and continuous walking up a flight of steps. With the result, this could rob the working individual of his mobility and immobilize him. In light of this, paralysis in the knee joints could be an additional reason forcing the employee to give up his regular job.
Stress at work can destroy and possibly deplete the emotional and mental character of an individual. At the extreme he may tend to worry excessively about the least of things. Due to the pressure faced from his employer and his co workers, he stands a very likely candidate of getting high blood pressure.
