Does Internet Business Produce More Home-Based Job Opportunities?

The current business trend for many people nowadays is to start either an internet business or a home based business. Whichever way people choose, both these two businesses are fantastic opportunities for professionals and individuals alike to not only make handsome profits but to also get personal satisfaction from being their own boss. So the question that many people put forward is which business is better a home based business or an internet business? Which provides more job opportunities? Do internet businesses produce more home-based job opportunities?

The answer to these questions is not as simple as it may seem. Both home based businesses and internet businesses can be extremely profitable, and both provide an ample amount of job opportunities, however internet businesses do provide more home-based job opportunities simply because all that is required to set up an internet business is a personal computer and a good internet service provider. While many argue that internet businesses can be efficiently and effectively run by a single person with good computing skills, this is not always necessarily true. So the next logical question is how can we prove that internet businesses produce more home-based job opportunities?

This question can be simply answered by asking some one to search up the number of home based job opportunities on the web. From the results we will see that many internet businesses are often looking for freelance job seekers who can be hired on a contract basis. Since most free lancer job seekers are home based, the above asked questions is easily answered.

The reason why internet businesses produce more home based job opportunities is because these businesses do not need to hire permanent staff members. They rather need people who can work for them on a part time basis because the work load is not always very heavy and can more often then not be managed be a hand full of people. While the permanent staff of an internet business includes the business manager/owner, a secretary or personal assistant, a web designer, a web developer/e-commerce developer and some support staff, the people who can be hired on a freelance basis include; copy writers, editors, logo designers, flash designers, HTML programmers, etc. Other non internet freelance employees that can be hired by an internet business include marketing staff that get paid on a commission basis, delivery/distribution staff, accountants, and project managers. The reason these people are hired on a freelance basis is mainly because their need is not permanent and can vary from project to project.

To illustrate this point better we can take the example of an internet web design business. This business in reality needs about around 10 permanent employees if they get between 5 and 6 projects a week. If ever the workload is more the company can then easily hire some free lance designers or developer to handle the extra and pay them on a project basis.

Thus from the above example we can see that indeed an internet business produces more home based job opportunities because it needs freelance workers and since most freelance job seekers work from their homes, more home based job opportunities are therefore created by internet businesses.
