Kinds of Religious embroidery design


Common themes for embroidery have always been centered on religion. Many worship places have religious cloths and have made it mandatory to own one. The trend is not only carried out in Asian countries but in the western neighborhood it shows devotion to specific saints and holy people who spread the word of god to all men.


In days gone by these embroidery were expensive and was part of the great wealth that amassed in imperial courts and churches. These were hung from the balconies on special religious events and festive occasions. The colors added the pomp and splendor of these religious institutions.

Some of the famous designs were the Kamataka's Kasuti which is usually woven on saris. The designs in this theme never changes but it is modified to look different. Some of the famous religious designs are crosses, crucifixes, the holy Koran, the holy Bible, and Jesus Christ, Mother Mary, Symbols of devotion to Lord Krishna and many other designs.

Please be sure to download the right format as you may have problems when you upload the design to the embroidery machine.

If you have a problem with the format you can refer to the manual book of your machine. You could also call customer service to ask for directions so that the instructions can be guided to you. Some of the most beautiful religious and an extensive embroidery designs are available from India.

Now this does not mean that one goes to India to get them. You can search on the net by using some of the search engines such as GOOGLE, Yahoo and many others. By entering the correct Boolean you will arrive at suggested web links that contain religious embroidery designs. These sites offer free designs so that you can test the designs against the fabric that you intend to weave the design on. Most sites ask you to download some of their free designs so you can test them and have your embroidery machine set accordingly.

The embroidery can be woven on Shirts, T-Shirts, Jackets, Caps, Bags, Purses and other appropriate places. You will mostly find these on table cloth so that these can be used as a covering for the altar. If you are using a small picture make sure that the color of the fabric is pleasant and is well suited for the occasion.
