This is because of the fact that in Asia more than half of the world's population lives here; China accounts for more than one quarter of the population. However; everything is not smooth sailing. Despite the promising conditions that are offered by countries like Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, etc., there are new challenges to be faced.
The first problem to overcome is the language barrier. The word franchising and certain terms would have varied meanings in Chinese languages. The second problem is because of the under-developed cities inside certain countries. To cite the best example of this would be to take countries like Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan face shortages of labor, cultural differences. If you are doing business for the first time in this area, you should be forewarned of the existing regulations to foreign investments. Most of these regulations can be confusing and can add burden to a new investor.
