The overall fees for incorporation in New Hampshire are affected by two basic factors. The lowest fees start at $135 for processing a period of 8 to 10 weeks. Higher fees are required for using the state’s express services of 11 to 15 days.
Prior to beginning the filing process, applicants need to choose a name for the organization. This name is submitted to the office of the Secretary of State to verify if it has been used before. If the name is cleared for its non-existence, it is recorded in the data bank for future processing.
The organization then delegates an agent and an incorporator. The incorporator acts a signatory for the organization up to the point where it is fully incorporated. The agent acts as the mouthpiece of the organization involving any communiqué betweaen the organization and the state. This agent must be accessible at all times within the state during working hours.
To complete the application process, the organization then completes the prescribed application form which requires some basic information about the organization. This information includes the name and address of the organization and its agent along with the shareholder listing and value.
