The retired employee is to receive benefits like pension and many others from the company.
The old working employees are also to get many advantages like they can easily get loans through the company as they are now trust worthy. These kinds of benefits from the company makes the employee during his working period, work more efficiently and honestly, as he knows that if he will work his best for the company, the company will also take care of him.
