Logos aid in defining products, goals and services for an organization.
The advantage of a logo is that it provides an inexpensive medium
for giving a company’s message to the public. For different
businesses, logos have different properties.
Fonts
A retail logo design consists of an assortment of large,
bold fonts. Few retailers do business on a large scale so
they prefer to have their names included in the logo design
for instant customer recognition.
Colors
Colors generally do not matter on retail logos. Retailers
use colors to match the nature of the products. Retail companies
dealing in detergent products will use the colors white and
green in their logo designs to depict the cleaning properties
of the solvents. Gray is associated with a retail business
dealing with kitchen utensils and accessories such as pots
and pans.
