Internet: The medium

The Internet is the medium, which is being used for a wide range of purposes. It's a platform, which is actively being used for businesses, researches, scientific studies and technological research orientations and assignments. The chief reason why people prefer this medium over other means is the ease of accessibility of the internet and the easy mechanism to implement an internet operation. The educational institutions have also made use of the facilities of the internet by launching several educational courses and degree program online. This enable them to offer courses to student all over the world and for a student getting education from online resources is much more cheaper then the landmark institution and universities. In the recent years many virtual universities have been created and are in progress offering teaching facilities to students all over the world.

For a student the chief question, when it comes to online educational institutions is that how viable is the selling of education over the internet is and is it as beneficial as the online educational institution claims to be. There are several factors that are to be taking under consideration by the student before taking admission or ordering an online course.

  • The recognition of the degree and certificate offered by online sites.
  • The course structure and whether it's applicable to the modern syllabus or not.
  • The degree of transparency in the online teaching mechanism and the professionalism of the online instructors.
  • The reputation of the online institution.

  • Selling education over the internet is viable and has the ability to prosper and make an impact if the institution is created and promoted with clean intention. Education on the internet should not entirely be takes as a business but as a contribution to literacy by providing quality education to the students.


  • To have a viable educational institution that offer courses online it is very necessary that the virtual education center is updated and have the guidance of professional teachers and professors. The courses that are offered to the student should be in accordance to the latest syllabus and the educational institution must ensure that proper education and teaching mechanism are provided to the online students.


  • Selling of education is not a dire intention if the intention is to provide quality education to the online education and reasonable rates. However to have fraudulent intentions in promoting online education can not only tarnish the reputation of your online institution but could also hold you accountable for legal actions.
