Website Marketing Plan

Making a website marketing plan is a difficult task upon which many things depend. Many people draw a blank mind when thinking about the subject and usually fail in attempting to create a plan. Some even give up the idea of developing a website marketing plan, which usually results in a failed website.

It makes more sense to simplify the process by breaking the plan down into small chunks that are easy to accomplish.
There are seven points that make an effective marketing plan. These points are a guideline for what your marketing plan should contain.

Publicity Marketing

The first step is to spread the word. You need to tell everyone that you have a website and what it offers. One of the best ways to do this is by giving press release statements about you and your business. You can also have articles about your products or services in online newsletters and forums.

Promotional Event Plans

The second step is drawing up plans to organize promotional events for your products. This can be done by arranging contests, awards and other promotional events that will increase the amount of visitors to your site.

Joint Venture Marketing Plan

I
Plan things to do in collaboration with other sites. For example, if you are a beautician, you can offer free tips to people who buy products from a company with whom you have good relations. Or, if you offer burial services you can team up with a company or small service that offers free counseling services for the bereaved families.

REFERRAL MARKETING PLAN

Referral plans can help businesses to gain new customers. This can be done by using old customers’ information, or you can dedicate a page or a section where your customers can provide you with email addresses.

INTERNET MARKETING PLAN

If you own a small business, you will need to have an advertisement for your products on the internet. You can advertise on a site that will direct potential clients to your site and pay them a small sum for every customer that comes to your site.

ADVERTISING PLAN

Not all small business owners have an advertising plan. If you are planning on advertising you will need to work out a plan to keep you informed of where you want to advertise and how much you need to invest in advertising.

CUSTOMER MARKETING PLAN

The last step is all about keeping the customer happy so they become potential buyers. You will need to outline how you will communicate and coordinate with your clients and decide what special offers will you make for them.

These plans listed are the basic layout for a website marketing plan; such a plan can be considerably more detailed depending on your business needs. Keep in mind that these are some of the most important points that will help you make a great marketing plan to run your business ever more smoothly.
